         ISIC, the student lifestyle card

         The International Student Identity Card (ISIC) is your passport to fantastic discounts and services at home and around the world.
The ISIC card is the only internationally-recognised student ID and ISIC card holders are members of a truly global club. Every year more than 4.5 million students from 120 countries use their student card to take advantage of offers on travel, shopping, museums and more, worldwide.

            What can the ISIC student card do for me?

You'll use your ISIC card to save money as you travel the world on a well deserved break from college. And it's just as useful back home. There are tens of thousands of student discounts on offer, so check what's available at your local restaurants, cinemas and shops. The ISIC card is a real student lifestyle card. Keep it in your pocket wherever you go it'll come in handy time and time again.

            Who can get an ISIC card?
Any full-time student aged 12 years and over, at high school, college or university is eligible for an ISIC card. As long as you're a student, it doesn't matter whether you're 12 or 112.

            Which documents do I need to get an ISIC card?

To get an ISIC card you have to bring the following document at the office of Aristour Travel Agency:
      A document that proves that you are currently studying full time at a recognised school, college or university. This could be one of the following documents:  
           - A copy of your university or student card, which is dated and clearly indicates you are currently a full-time student, or
           - A signed and dated letter on official university or school stationery, which states you are a full-time student. We would prefer an original copy, but photocopies and faxes may be acceptable.
      A recent passport-sized photo;
      An official proof of your date of birth
... And you'll have your card in no time at all.

How long is the ISIC student card valid for?

The standard ISIC card is valid for 16 months, from the start of the academic year.
The start month depends on where you are studying. For example in Europe, USA and India, the card is valid from 1 September until 31 December of the following year.
If you are studying in Australia, South Africa or Argentina, your ISIC card will be valid from 1 December until 31 March, 16 months later.
Some ISIC cards also work as bank cards, with a validity of 12 months.  

How much does an ISIC card cost?
It costs 10 leva.

Not a student (anymore)?

Anyone aged under 26 can get an International Youth Travel Card (IYTC), giving you youth discounts on anything from plane tickets to cinema tickets.
Or if you're now working as a full-time teacher or professor, you can enjoy teacher discounts with the International Teacher Identity Card (ITIC).

                 What will I get from the IYTC youth card and ITIC teacher card?
           
With an IYTC youth card or ITIC teacher card you're still part of the great ISIC global community with around 4.5 million users. You can take advantage of thousands of similar benefits, services and savings that the ISIC student card offers, at home and away. Don't forget to carry your card around with you!  

What do you need to get an IYTC ?
The International Youth Travel Card is for people under 26 years old.

To get a International Youth Travel Card you need to present the following documents at office of Aristour Travel Agency;
One of the following documents that identifies you and proves your age:
       oPassport
       o Birth Certificate
       o An official identity card issued by the official authorities
A passport sized photo

                  To get an ITIC?
The Teacher Card is for full-time teaching professionals.

To get a International Teacher Identity Card you need to present the following document at the office of Aristour Travel Agency:
A letter on official school or university stationery confirming that you are employed at a recognised educational establishment for a minimum of 18 hours per week and for a minimum of one academic year.
An official identification document such as:
        o Passport
        o Birth Certificate
        o An official identity card issued by the official authorities
A passport sized photo  

How much does an ITYC / ITIC card cost?
ITYC costs 10 leva.
ITIC   costs 16 leva.
